Kris is Executive Director of Shirley Heinze Land Trust, a non-profit organization that has been protecting and restoring natural areas in Northwest Indiana since 1981. He earned a B.S. in Environmental Science from Saint Joseph’s College and an M.B.A. from Indiana University Northwest. Prior to assuming his current position in 2005, he worked as a project manager in the environmental consulting and remediation fields.
Kris serves on the Land Trust Alliance Editorial Board and Leadership Council, the Indiana Land Protection Alliance Steering Committee, the Chicago Wilderness Executive Council, the Indiana Invasive Species Council, the Indiana Benjamin Harrison Conservation Trust Committee, the Northwest Indiana Paddling Association Board and the Calumet Collaborative Board of Directors.
